I have to deal with positioning of robot by result from SICK PIM60 camera. It wasn't my decision, I have to work with it. Seems like EthernetIP connection generally works, but how can I get position data? I worked only with solution where camera was connected to PLC and PLC sent position data to robot in format I could use directly from properly configured GIs (binary representation of decimal number). But when I studied SICK manual, it seems that position is send in 4bytes which is IEEE754 format? Did anyone work with SICK camera? Can anyone tell me If I'm correct with this format and how to handle it? Or am I totally wrong?
