Good, so now error has moved.
Is other axis operating ok then?
Good, so now error has moved.
Is other axis operating ok then?
Yes all working fine except jt5 now.
Ok, so this is good.
This proves to me, harnessing is good and also JT4 gearbox is ok too, so you're problem in my opinion is:
1. Motor/brake/encoder assembly.
2. Power Block for JT4.
With robot still in this condition, swap physical motor (take out motor and swap over) in arm between JT4 and JT5 to prove if motor is good/bad.
- If error move to other axis, then motor/brake/encoder problem.
- If still at JT5, then power block problem for JT4.
You will probably need to re-zero axis before make test.
Hmm do i think in the wrong way then?
Because the error happend now on jt5 on software. But on the robot axis is jt4. So i would suggest it is motor, gear, encoder or bearings? Is this make sense?
Let me know of i think wrong then i take your advise and swapp the motor.
Ok......I am confused now...….
Physical Motor connected to wrist is now configured as JT4, so when you press JT4 buttons, wrist moves yes?
- Does this produce any errors?
Yes correct. This doesnt give any error.
Ah ok......yes, I was mixed up.
Yes, it does sound like it could be gearbox then.
I would swap the motors over, and if the error moves, then it is motor, if the error remains, then gearbox.
Thanks for all your help. I swapped the motors and problem did move. So i was sure it is the motor. I replaced it with an other motor of a spare robot. And result is working wel. I runned on full speed for a time. So many thanks to you again
Do you have an maintnance guide of the js serie? Like 030 and 010?
FINALLY...……………….a result......I am glad as my fingers hurt as they have no skin left on them...………….
Remember, to return all cables again, back to normal......but do not rush, make sure connections are good or we will be back again.
All the manuals I have, I placed here A and AD Controller Documents
Thanks a lot men. I Will place them back. I think i broke the second motor because of the connectors that aren’t connecting good enough.
But thanks a lot it works great now
Glad to hear.....
We got there in the end...…….Go Team Kawasaki...…
Just out of interest, what is date of manufacture of this JS 30 and also Controller, I would be interested to know?
- Date should be printed on data plate on Controller and on Arm.
I Will check for you the date. I think it was around 1991 do you also want to know the js010
No that's fine...….as I say, it was just a matter of interest.
I like to see the old workhorses resurrected and still have plenty of miles left in them:
29 years old, just another example of Kawasaki and their longevity achievements...…………
