Changed the title of the thread from “How can a robot be hung from the ceiling?” to “How can a robot be mounted from the ceiling?”.

Depends on a few things. Physically mounting it is no big deal (assuming the robot is designed to be inverted), and changing the appropriate parameters is no big deal either. The messy part can be with FSU and certain option combinations.

Can you give any more details about the system?

Make sure your structure can hold the mass of the robot and the inertia of the arm.

    Don't mount a 50 KG or higher.

    Make and use user frames.

Be sure to have enough room behind the 1BC,2BC plate to remove the harness with the robot upside down.

Call Yaskawa to confirm the arm you are using CAN be inverted and if there are any settings you can use to help.
