I have a spindle attached to my ABB IRB 6400R S4c, I want to connect the e stop of the spindle and the robot together so that when I hit the e stop on the teach pendant it also e stops the spindle. Can this be done and if so how?

There are connections available from the Motor On contactors. 2 channels are available, on X3 Terminals 1 and 2 are the first, and on X4 terminals 1 and 2 are the second.

You can also use the pair of contacts provided in the E-stop circuit:
X1-1 to X1-2 and X2-1 to X2-2

Something to consider is the run down time of the spindle before allowing access through robot guards.
