KRC2 ed05 KSS 5.2.21 update to KSS 5.6.10

    I have robot with KRC2 ed05 controller and KSS 5.21.

    I would like to update it to KSS 5.6.10.

    Unfortunately I don't have an Kuka XP installer image,

    Can I reinstall my hdd XP SP1 with existing KSS5.2.21 to KSS 5.6.10, or KSS installer need empty fresh installed Kuka XP embedded?

    It might be possible to upgrade KSS without re-installing Windows. 5.2 and 5.6 weren't that far apart.


    However, I can't say with with certainty. KUKA tech support could give you a definite answer.


    The alternative would be to create a complete hard drive image backup, or clone the hard drive onto a new drive, then try running the KSS 5.6 installer and see what happens. That way, if it bricks the Windows installation, you can still revert back to your working image.
