    Hi everyone,

I'm in need of dire help. I'm helping commission a robot line and I was throw into the middle of it all without much experience.

I'm getting these faults on the robot side of a Fanuc R-2000iC

    SRVO - 419 PROFIsafe comm error 1,1

SRVO - 409 DCS SSO Servo Disconnect 1,

SRVO - 408 DCS SSO Ext. Emergency Stop

SRVO - 407 DCS SSO Fence Open 1,1

SRVO - 406 DCS SSO SVOFF input 1,1

    SRVO - 037 IMSTP input (group:1)

Some of the other robots work fine but a few of them got changed out last minute and Siemens is having issues connecting to them and the ones that have errors all have the same issues. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

These errors are related to the Safety board in your controller. The first error you listed is the robot looking for a safety PLC connected through PROFINET, if this is on one of the new robots it might not have PROFINET set up.

If you do not have a safety PLC you need to set PROFINET safety to bypass in your DCS settings.

Most likely if it was working before. Then its something hardware related possibly? profinet cables HAVE to be grounded. with the proper connectors. else they will be intermittent. A regular RJ245 cable will also be intermittent if it is in a large lathe cabinet or similar machining due to cross talk.

I Found the issue. The F-addresses on the teach pendants of the robots weren't matched with the F-Addresses in the PLC program.

As the message says: you have to apply the changed DCS parameters (in the DCS settings menu, you will need the password for DCS settings) then do a reboot.

Read the manual, (1111 is standard iirc), but the robot is a used one, so may be it has been changed, but not from me, so I can't help with that.

It seems that there is configured an external axis. If you don't have one you should delete it. Therefore you have to start the controller with Controlled start, by pressing left and right during boot up, and then select -Menu-9 maintenance-. There You can delete the external axis.

But before You should create a full image of the firmware.

Yes you are right, there are no so namend external axis, but there are independent axis, I named them external axis.

To clarifiy your setup: You have a standard 6 axis robot and external equipment with at least 3 axis? Then the setup should be ok, and you don't have to delete anything,

If you only have the standard 6 axis robot and no other axis connected to the cabinet you have to delete those groups 2..4 independent axis. select the group and press F4/Manual.

How can i access BMON menu ?

I have done image backup it safe to do init start now ?

You can delete the axis in maintenance mode after doing a controlled start. Like you already have done (the picture above)

With an image backup You are safe to make anything you want.
