I don’t have the I/F panel enabled on my teach pendant. What parameter do I need to turn on to enable it?
How do you enable the I/F panel function?

It is a Yaskawa parameter.

I know it’s a parameter in Yaskawa. Is there anyway to enable it myself?

Depending on controller generation you may be able to get a one time password to change it. This would be on a DX200 or YRC1000.

Yeah I have a YRC1000

On the YRC1000, in at least Management security level, go to SYSTEM INFO, VERSION, UTILITY in the Menu area, SD-SERIAL ID. Take a picture of or write down the SD card number on the screen.
Contact your local Yaskawa office. Tell them you want I/F Panel turned on. They may want the ID number (to issue a one time password) of the SD card or may want you to send in your CMOS.Bin file.
Either way since it is a Yaskawa parameter, someone from Yaskawa will have to be involved. They can tell you what they want you to do to get this option enabled.

Im really surprised its not on every robot we have got has it already turned on. If they don't turn it on for free I would be shocked then again they are getting more and more like Fanuc.

No doubt, every YRC1000 controller that goes through Motoman in the US has it turned on as a standard.
