Roboguide DCS Stop category 2

    I recently started to work on a Fanuc Robot with the software Roboguide, unfortunately I'm a newbie with it and i hardly find what I need.


    I'm trying to setup a DCS zone with the stop category 2 (called HOLD in the documents) I could find the DCS menu and create zones and so on but i really can't find how to set up my zone in "HOLD" mode.

    If anyone already had to deal with this function and know how to set it up i would be very thankfull !

  • HOLD is not a stop type that can be configured with DCS. It is a UI signal that can change state from an external device like a PLC or when pressed on the pendant. The 'Controlled Stop' Cat. 1 is basically the same, except servo power is turned off after deceleration.

    Thank you for you quick reply.

    So, if i send a signal with a PLC i could do exactly the same than Cat. 1 but without turning off the power, right ?
