I have a kuka KPC Ed05 and I am wanting to turn on the Office GUI so I can use a computer mouse. My boss gave me a krc2 manual explaining how to do this, but evidently there is a difference with the KPC Ed05. Can anyone help?

Just plug the mouse in ..

Yes, you only need to set the OfficePC variable if you're planning to use the KRC without a robot.
-
panic mode The mouse is plugged in and functioning, but there is a setting that you can turn on that puts the PC in an "office" mode if you will.
SkyeFire yes, thats what I am trying to do. I am working on a project for a company and I need the PC in this mode because we do not have the robot in house, we just have the PC. I have looked in every menu of the PC that I can find but I cannot locate this variable.

this is not in any menu, it is in a file thar need to be manually edited:
C:\KRC\ROBOTER\Init\HW_inf.ini
also this does not turn on some 'other' GUI, this changes environment but GUI is the same.

Basically, setting the OfficePC variable lets the KRC run while just "imagining" what the physical robot is doing. It turns off all the various connectivity checks, and imagines an ideal robot performing as commanded. You'll still need your KCP to actually operate the robot, though. And OfficePC mode won't allow for certain hardware-dependent operations, like Soft Servo mode, collision detection, etc.
But if you're just looking to edit and run-test normal KRL, OfficePC mode should work fine.

SkyeFire yes, that's exactly what im wanting to do. Would you know how to set that variable or is the way panic mode suggested the only way to do it?

As far as I am aware, doing it HW_INF is the only way. I would suggest making a backup of the robot before doing this, just in case, of course.
