Robot-Forum.com is receiving a big update!

I will update the Forum the next hours, maybe days to a brand-new Forum software.
This happens, because I want to keep the Forum user-friendly, secure and modern.
We had last week a Hack Attack and I want to avoid this for the future.
I started that Process on Saturday with roboterforum.de, where you already can see what will happen the next hours.
Some Functions will be lost, some will stay, some will be new and better. But be sure, the Forum will not be the same anymore.
We will be prepared for the future.
I want a Forum with modern Blogs, Articles, Social Media Integration, Video Trainings and many more.
That for I have to do the first Step, this is to bring the Forum to the next Level.
We will leave SMF, the Forum Software I use since 2003, and we will switch to Woltlab Suit, which has professional Support, verified Plugins and many more Benefits.
Thanks for understanding and your patience, if something don't work like usual.

Well still a lot of work, but first Step is done
I am Happy with it.

What a big Agency has not made for month, i did now in 3 Days

Life is to short for wasting time with "blah blah".

I just Continue to make this great Community more valuable and powerful.

With or without a Agency.

What a facelift indeed, myself not knowing too much about setting up, running and maintaining a forum, it is obvious what you have done, does not take 5 mins.

As always Werner, the dedication and your constant attention to the running and maintaining of this forum is truly outstanding and I'll say it again, I don't think many people realise just how much time you devote in the background to the forum (including me) and it really is appreciated.

Looking really nice, sharp and user friendly, can't wait to familiarise myself with the new layout.

Keep up the good work and if you need me to test anything, then let me know......

Everything looks to be in place, so far. One small item -- so far, all the buttons, controls, and menus are showing up in German for me. I haven't been able to find the control setting for language preferences. Probably because the menues are in German....

(Aw, all our old crazy smileys are gone. Oh, well, I shouldn't complain)

@skyFire...……..Yes, was the same for me regarding language, if you go into your profile and settings and general, you can select the language there....

My profile doesn't have any "settings" page. I can edit my profile, but there's no Language option there, just my personal data.

Never mind! Found it. One of the other menu drop-downs when I click on my personal icon.

The home page should be an intro that explains the various components of the site, including the features Werner desires to have, and the features we already have like Forums, videos, files, resources...

Right now, we just have the forum and the tab on top labeled "Forum" isn't very obvious that it's where you want to go, especially to new users.

I used Google Translate until I found the language option under the General option in Settings.

I have disabled German now, hope everybody will see the Forum in English now.

Dont care about all the smileys, i will integrate them again.

It looks like google links don't work. Only result i get when i enter any thread from google is "page not found"

well that's right, we lost our Links. Google needs some days to actualize them. Please use the Search Function here in the Forum with the same Question and you will find what you are looking for.
