linetracking problem with ethernet encoder

  • Hello everyone,
    I have 3 scara robots SR- 6iA 1 Master and 2 Slaves.
I connected the encoder in the master controller and made the setup following the instructions of iRPick manual. I followed the procedure for the slaves but when i open the setup encoder page (after cold start) in the first slave i can see the pulses changing but the parameters are set to default except the encoder enable parameter, Ethernet Master RIPE Id and Ethernet Master Encoder. In the second slave controller also i can see the pulses changing but all the parameters are set to default except Ethernet Master RIPE Id, Ethernet Master Encoder and I get a LNTK-023 Bad tracking hardware alarm and i cannot move the robot.
Do you have any idea why this happens? thank you

  • Are you sure this error comes from the ethernet encoder? Or maybe something's wrong with the physical encoder? You could try switching the 2 physical encoders on slave robots and see if the error remains on the same robot - then you would really confirm that the problem is with the ethernet encoder.
