Does anyone know what an error code "4" means on the amplifier board LED? This is on an R-J3iB/M-16iB. Problem was sporadic at first but ever-increasing in frequency. Can't find any loose wires or connections. Voltages all look good... SRVO-136 is the TP fault that shows, but I am much more concerned about that 4. I think the DCVAL could be a symptom rather than the problem.

SRVO-136 DCLVAL alarm (Group:i Axis:j)
[Explanation] The DC link voltage is abnormally low.-In case this alarm occurred during robot operation:
[Action 1] Check to see if the input voltage of the R-J3iB controller is within its rated voltage
and the voltage setting of the transformer is right.
[Action 2] It is likely that the supply voltage stops instantaneously. Check the power supply.
[Action 3] Replace the E-STOP unit.
[Action 4] Replace the servo amplifier.-In case this alarm occurs while the power up sequence or right after inputting reset signal:
[Action 1] Check whether the circuit breaker in the emergency stop unit is off. If it is off, check
the servo amplifier and the wiring between the servo amplifier and the emergency
stop unit. If anything is abnormal, replace it.
[Action 2] Check to see if the input voltage of the R-J3iB controller is within its rated voltage
and the voltage setting of the transformer is right.
[Action 3] Replace the E-stop unit.
[Action 4] Replace the servo amplifier that is indicated by the alarm message.-In case this alarm occurs right after pushing emergency stop button.
[Action 1] This alarm will occur in case the servo amplifier primary power is removed before an
emergency stop. Check whether the auxiliary axis unit is installed correctly.My manual goes from 2 straight to 5 so I can't help you there but this is everything for the SRVO-136 in case you didn't have it already.

Thanks, but this LED window is on the amplifier. Top left corner. The circuit breaker that sits between the transformer and the redundant E-Stop board is tripping. Usually, just the 3-pole breaker (QF2), but sometimes, the single pole breaker (QF3) for auxiliary axis brakes trips out too. Of course, we aren't using any auxiliary axes, which leads me to believe the transformer is bad...

Thanks, SHIFT_Lock. I did not have that extensive of an explanation. We swapped E-STOP units this morning with another M-16. He hasn't been running long enough to think we've solved the problem, but so far, so good.

This was all i could find in the R-J3iB maintenence manual unfortunately.
*EDIT* I missed the part where you said you don't have an AUX axis so this probably isn't even the correct amplifier is it?
