Hi,
How to choose the dimensions of a delta robot arms knowing that the work space needed is 50cm*50cm.
thanks

hi
Welcome to the robot forumYou need to check the specification for that particular robot. Let's say ABB, . Search for ABB robot website, find the delta robots and look for the specifications. I'm sure there is a picture of the robot reach and also a table for the showing the different reaches for different model.
You might not get a square area but they will tell you the diameter of the area the robot can reach -
Depends entirely on the kinematic geometry. Some delta robots use linear rails (vertical or at angles), others use rotary axes. The height also plays a role -- for a delta like the ABB FlexPicker, the XY footprint would have to grow just to accommodate more Z height, because the elbows would need more room, while a vertical linear rail delta like most delta-style 3D printers could (in theory) grow Z infinitely without increasing XY at all.
