Robot and Slide - setting wobj

  • I have a new robot and 14m slide installed here recently and I am trying to get a cad software to write the programs for me as this is being used for a milling platform, However when I try to set a wobj (which is used in the cad software to give the exact position of the work piece) it seems to mess up and not give the correct position, It kind of seems like the robot isnt taking into account the position on the slide itself.

Has anyone had experience with this before? is it maybe that the slide is not setup correctly?

  • I am cutting a part that is 10 meters long, So I need to teach the work object over the whole length of it to make it as accurate as possible. also the wobj isnt giving me a location of the part in relation to the track only is relation in to the robot. So the wobj is basically moving with the robot no matter where it is on the track.
