I have a KRC2 KR150 KUKA robot. I had an issue with software limits and while trying to change them I unmastered the robot. I have no mastering tool. Is there a way I can return the robot to previous master settings?
Best regards,
Sam

No, if the mastering is lost it cannot be restored. you need either the mastering tool or a dial gauge.
Hello,
You can buy dial gauge by me if you will need.

It can be done by feel, using "Dial Mastering," if you press in the gauge pin with a plastic tool and VERY SLOWLY jog the axis in a negative direction. Stop the robot when you're sure you've hit the very bottom of the gauge target V-notch, and hit "Master".
However, this process is only as good as you are at feeling the bottom of the target V-Notch. It can be used in an emergency, but you really should get either the dial gauge adapter, or an actual EMT.
Thats great. Thank you everyone. I will master it crudely and look into purchasing a proper tool asap!
Exactly like SkyeFire wrote, but for this you have to be very precise. By my applications even dial gauge is not the best thing to master the robot.
