Hello, I am working with an adept XYZ linear robot for electrical testing. I am new to this setup and Adept in general. We have ACE 3.5 and we have MATLAB tell the Adept to move to position, however, MATLAB never knows when the adept is done, so in the MATLAB code there is a WAIT command that is plenty of time for the robot to move. As you can imagine this wastes tons of time. I wanted to know of a way for the robot arm to send a file or any output to MATLAB to signify it is in position without adding any new hardware. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Also let me know if we are approaching this the wrong way.
To be more clear. MATLAB tells adept to move to new probe position....MATLAB waits....MATLAB runs test assuming the robot is in position...MATLAB tells adept to move to new location....and repeat till done.
Our 3 axis robot model number is L12080S20B0M200P000
