The line got an e-stop fault and robot was in oven. Recovered the robot to a safe location and recovered other after. When we went to home the robot, the robot has a mastering fault for E1. We can't get the robot to move and there is a fault on the pendant saying "Short Circuit in temperature sensor (E1). Originator: Drive." We have switched the drive with a drive from a different robot and still same fault. Any idea?

Try changing the encoder cable for E1.

drive reports that it sees something else is wrong and you replace the drive?
like when someone reports that person is drowning, one chooses to replace eyewitness that is reporting the incident.

Ah! Panic mode, you were my instructor back in Windsor Ontario and I am now in Bowling Green KY. Changed the drive to eliminate it as a potential cause. Our team believed that because it said "originator: Drive," that the drive was the issue. We changed the cable on the encoder for E1 and we have been able to get robot back moving. Seems I will need to order this cable and get one here as fast as possible.
