Which version? And which way?
KCP4(SmartHMI) might be possible to use in an external system, it uses RDP.
Anything else("KR C1" KCPs, KCP1, KCP2, "KR C2sr" KCPs) - without some serious driver hacking, I'll just give it a plain "no".If you want to replace the pendant with your own device, then it's a hard no in any case.

this will help you in order to plug a monitor to your robot and to have both monitors KCP and an external monitor.
that external monitor could be a touch monitor if you can activate the USB ports and install the proper drivers of the monitor into the robot controller.KCP should be KRCx (where x is < than 4), given the "KCP" in KRC4 is named SmartPad...
If that is right:
IN KRC2:
- Access the windows operating system minimizing the robot application/HMI.
- Right click the desktop (or press SHIFT+F10 having the focus on your desktop).
- Select properties.
- Advanced.
- CHIPS.
- Select display device: BOTH.
- Confirm with OK.NOTICE: KRC2 VGA card is not designed to have 2 monitors plugged into it. That leads to a less clear KCP... Just revert the configuration if you don't like it.
In KRC4:
If you want to have two displays connected is not that straight, if you plug a monitor into the HDMI port you'll automatically loose the smartpad. You should install any falvour of VNC into the robot controller and establish a remote connection from any PC...
Hope this helps.

Is there a way to convert KUKA KCP to ordinary monitor with touch interface?what good is that? monitors with touch functions are cheap and plenty. smartPad is expensive (costs some 30-50x more).
it is like buying a car to get parts to build a bicicle
