I think, it will be no problem. Can't you try create program in robot and then edit in newer winc5g and upload back, like test it? Or do you have no access to robot?
I have on workshop also comau arc 4 from 2012 i can try tomorrow from my pc upload cod file from winc5g 2.40 and let you know...
Ok, so i try connect to robot with winc5g. Robot version is 2.40 and winc5g setup was 2.42.. Connection was fine.. I try edit prog_test.cod file in robot. Save it to robot and load with teach pendant and was no problem..

I using basic WinC5G version yet but i planning buy pro licence because i working on something like smartarc software but for lorch welder and i want in future protect it from edit or copy. So yes .. basic is for free but pro you must buy.

Just wondering where to tap signal for specific IO to my controller PLC such as :
INPUT SIGNAL TO ROBOT : DRIVE ON, DRIVE OFF, START, HOLD, U1,U2,U3,U4, CANCEL ALARM, SAFETY SPEED
OUTPUT SIGNAL FROM ROBOT : ALARM,DRIVE ON/OFF , START /HOLD, LOCAL/REMOTE, TEACH EN/DIS, U1, U2,U3,U4,NO ACTIVE LATCH ALARM AND so on..
as per attach file... ( page 208,209,210)
please advice since i got assignment to integrate this robot with PLC.

Comau has some inputs/outputs on SDM module or you must buy or have on X20 BR cards for DI DO.. and when you doing mapping those inputs/outputs you can setup gi value on each i/o for functions like drive on , start, no hold , no drive etc.

Hello adrian123 in menu - display - vars .. you can find system variables and $HOME variable.. change that variable with your current/desired position .. then save configuration in setup menu and make cold reset.
