Hello.
Where can i find datasheets/manuals for kr2150 and krc2 2002 model ?
What pallet size is enough to load kr2150&krc2 ?
I think that krc2 has 3x ksd1-16 and 3x ksd1-32 (made by lenze) servo drives where can i find the manuals for these servodrives?
These servodrives accept driving signal other than interbus ?
Where can i find datasheets for servo motors kr2150 has?
Thanks.

What pallet size is enough to load kr2150&krc2 ?Talk to KUKA. They'll give them to you.

You can't. They're KUKA-specific.
They're made by Siemens.
These servodrives accept driving signal other than interbus ?
No. They're also not complete servo drives, they're just 3-phase full bridges with drives. Resolver feedback and servo control is on the MFC.

read pinned topic READ FIRST. your robot system was delivered with full set of documentation. if you are getting this as a used system and documentation is not there, use that fact as a bargaining chip and make seller produce originals or drop the price. then follow links in READ FIRST topic to get them yourself... or talk to KUKA

of course it can... but according to MADA, for robot KR2150 those will be 3x KSD1-48 and 3x KSD1-16

KUKA motors are documented in KUKA documentation. Those motors are built by Siemens and Siemens article number is also on each motor label. Use it to check detailed specs in Siemens documentation (Servo catalog).

Thank you for info.
I registered to kuka xpert but when i do search for kr2150 only results found for kr150 and only for year > 2003 mine is 2002 made
What is the difference between kr150 & kr2150 ?
Also where can i find a dictionary what kuka terms mean like "mada" "kss" etc ?
The used robot i got has 3000 operating hours what mtbf have these robots ?
What operating hours can say that is like new what used moderately and what heavy used ?
Mine is missing teach pendant but the type is this in photo.
Teach pendant has inside active circuits(for example mcu that gives commands) or is only a monitor with keyboard & other buttons ?
I have read that safety signals go through teach pendant and you cannot start robot without pendant
is possible to use external monitor & keyboard and some way fool the controller for safety signals by giving to them what it wants ? -
I registered to kuka xpert but when i do search for kr2150 only results found for kr150 and only for year > 2003 mine is 2002 maderobot WAS delivered with full set of documentation. it is recommended to keep it safe. if lost, let that be a lesson and be more careful next time and take what you can... most likely documentation will be applicable.
Also where can i find a dictionary what kuka terms mean like "mada" "kss" etc ?take KUKA training and ask whatever you like. or read...

What operating hours can say that is like new what used moderately and what heavy used ?Nobody spend $$$$$ on some piece of machine to just sit in the corner behind glass as an exibit. If that is what you believe, you are seriously mistaken. Most robots i see do easily 3000h in a year (many do 8000+h a year). Yours is 17-18 year old. And hours are not exactly stored in a Fort Knox. And the hours do roll over too.
MBTF etc are questions for Kuka sales guy although i don't think anyone is interested to talk about ancient robots. So read in Xpert or chat with your seller.
Mine is missing teach pendant but the type is this in photo.there are bunch over versions of teach pendant. to get correct replacement you need to look at the BOM for your robot system for correct KCP article number.

I have read that safety signals go through teach pendant and you cannot start robot without pendant
is possible to use external monitor & keyboard and some way fool the controller for safety signals by giving to them what it wants ?please do elaborate your experience in design and reverse-engineering of electronic circuits and signals. if it is limited to plugin in cable and replacing batteries, this is not for you. the mere fact that you asked this, is a proof enough that this is not for you. just get the correct teach pendant or try to sell this to someone else willing to hack.
-
Ok mine original teach pendant is this in the photo but sold elsewhere
this is the reason that i got robot cheap because it missed pendant.
Manuals come with new robots.. when you get something used very cheap most times is not be available because sold as is..
What is the difference between kr2150 & kr150 ?
My knowledge is not limited to plug a cable...
I have very good knowledge java programming c/c++/rdbms also basic electronics knowledge
i have near all the basic instruments an electronic lab has multimeters/function generator/oscilloscope/esr meter/transistortester/logic analyser/bench power supplies/ir bga reflow station/solder irons/hot air/other cnc like mill&lathe&laser.
So iam not expert but i know what iam doing this is first time that i got a puma robot so sorry if iam doing idiot questions...
My plan is to replace ancient kuka controller & servo drives with a new controller & servo drives
the only reason i want to start up the robot with original controller is to see how operates.
I have not the robot in my hands now(needs about 15days to get it) so my only knowledge for puma robots comes from 2-3 hours searching net.
So again sorry for the idiot questions.. -
My plan is to replace ancient kuka controller & servo drives with a new controller & servo drives
the only reason i want to start up the robot with original controller is to see how operates.Should've bought a more expensive robot with all the parts included. Prepare to spend at least $3500 on building a new controller, if you're lucky. If you're not, that number can easily double.
The servos on the robot are very, very powerful, and need servo drives to accommodate the power rating(600V at up to 48A for the largest).
Replacing the pendant on a KRC2 is very complicated, and requires a working pendant to reverse-engineer. It uses several CANbus channels with non-standard message formats, but the bottom line is - you will never get it to run without a pendant. -
Ok thats all i want to hear... thanks.
So iam searching a pendant now..
The pendant shown in the photos can be identified what model is ?
(this is the original pendant of robot has from factory)
These photos are the only i have.. and taken before pendant sold.. -
The pendant shown in the photos can be identified what model is ?No.
Call KUKA, give them your controller's serial and model numbers, and they will give you the pendant part number. -
correct...

Where can i find DH parameters for kr2150 2002 model?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denavit%E…berg_parameters -
you make it yourself - take a look in the manual for joint lengths and check inside R1\MADA.
-
I have not the manual...
inside R1\MADA exist joint lengths ? -
Yes ..... Robot MADA contains all info related to robot including kinematics.
But this is not exactly on a silver platter. You need to figure out where the values are stored. Some ifo is easy to find- just search for “DH”
Btw dont ask lazy questions... if you want to know what is inside MADA, take look yourself. It will immediately become clear if this is something YOU can work with. Dont be afraid of trying learning something new.
-
There is no such thing as a KR2150.. this is the name for your robot machine data file.
The model name will be on a sticker on the rotating column of the robot. -
Sorry for the lazy questions but i have not have the robot in my hands now(is on transport)..
Used KCP2 has cost about 2k euros so i got an other same full robot (kcp2 included) for 3.5k eur.
So i will have one robot with krc2 controller and the other robot with a non kuka modern controller. -
I got the robot.
Also i got an another robot that has teach pendant but this is not in my hands now
i have only the robot with the missing teach pendant. How can i enable the external monitor without the teach pendant?
Also connector X19 has in the centre 4 pins ABCD that are for kcp display monitor.
What are these 4 pins? Can i connect a vga external monitor temporary to these pins
to make change in settings so external monitor enabled?Iam interrested what pins 1/2/3/4 in X805 connector do
DISPLAY+ DISPLAY- RES RES -
How can i enable the external monitor without the teach pendant?
Easy way? Gently remove the KVGA card and put any old AGP graphics card in the AGP slot. It'll auto-switch on boot. I don't recommend installing the drivers(it will ask you, just close it), and never change the resolution on an external graphics adapter.
Hard way? Mount the hard drive, edit the registry, it's been mentioned on the forum somewhere.
Can i connect a vga external monitor temporary to these pins
No.
Iam interrested what pins 1/2/3/4 in X805 connector do
DISPLAY+ DISPLAY- RES RES
They're an old differential pair digital protocol (no longer) made by AMD, called TaxiChip.
24-bit RGB data is encoded by a few logic devices on the KVGA, serialized by the TaxiChip, and the reverse process is done in the pendant to directly drive a display panel. No VGA conversion happens anywhere. -
Where is the post that explains what must edit in registry to enable external monitor?
(I will clone hdd before any change) -
you can search the forum. note that many good old posts do not exist any more. They get deleted when server runs out of space. This happened few times thanks to inconsiderate or computer illiterate forum members.
