Fanuc password linked to PLC?

    Has anyone been able to link their plc security login with their robots? We have been using USB thumbdrives, but it has been requested to use the HMI fingerprint reader. If I could figure out the system variable I could possible write a karel program to enter the correct password based on the level sent from the plc.

    Thoughts?

    GI can be used (it will be seen by everyone who looks at the GI page). Activate $ENB_GILOGIN in $PASSWORD (one account needs to be set before, I think), then restart the robot. In the Karel program selection, you should have "GIPLOGIN" & "GIPSETUP". In the data Karel from GIPSETUP, set up which GI to use. A watchdog can be set, but it is not mandatory. In "GI_VALUE," the password value will be set (IF "1234" is set in " U_GI_VALUE", when the PLC will send "1234" through GI will loggin with account have a password set to "1234")

    And set the program "RUNGILOG" in auto-execution (from the configuration menu).
