    Hi all,

Today I received a KPC from KRC4 STANDARD (KSS default 8.2), and it is not able to load the inteface.

I tried to connect an external monitor DVI but it shows nothing.

After this I tried to change some devices as RAM memory and dual nic, without sucess.

But I saw a strange red LED on mother board behind the KPC power supply. It was a fail LED indicator as we can see in the pictures.

I tried to find this mother board datasheet, but the PDFs that I find wasn't so detailed to show whats kind of problem the board is.

Does some one knows what kind of problem the red LED indicates?
Does some one have already acessed an full KRC4 mother board data sheet?
Maybe can I fix the board exchanging some components? Or will be necessary exchange the board?

It means that motherboard is defective (selftest failed).

    Hello!!!

Did you change the motherboard or it was a powersupply fault?

Dead tin causes a voltage drop and gives the voltmon fail

    Hello Mr. Rezaei,

could you describe more precisely what it means "tin is dead" and where I can find and restore it...I have a problem with a dead motherboard / KPC - KRC4 /

i think he meant to say that issue could be caused by poor solder joint and reflow may fix it.

Hello, what was the solution in your case? Did you managed to fix this? I have the same problem with a KRC4 compact cabinet - the robot was working fine untill a small piece of plastic went into the fan and stopped it. Afterwards we have a red led and no signal on the motherboard.

Where we need to revive the tin? Which part of the motherboard?

Try changing the CMOS battery first. The BIOS may need to be updated as well.

I believe it is a CR2032, it has been a while since I have replaced it.

Hi vvelikov That time we bought a new Mother Board.

Few months ago we had the same problem 2 times.

    1 - Solved with a new CR2032 Battery.

2 - Not Solved yet, we believe it can be processor socket pin damaged.
