Sounds like S4C+ or earlier, right? Reboot yet?

Do you have another Teach Pendant you can try? If there is no error in the system when Teach Pendant is not connected. The controller needs to be opened. The Motor On lamp should flash. If the teach pendant stays on this screen; When the teach pendant is plugged in, disconnect and re-energize the system. Still this screen is not going; reinstall the system. System; S4C or S4C +?

hmm, hello everyone!!! i have the same problem today S4 irb6400 m98, Teach pendant communication lost(. "motor lamp on" is not on flashing. EN led indicator also not on, blinking couple of time when turning on the controller and then different errors.. In Friday it was working pretty good, on Monday showing an error. Might it be because of the power supply outlet +5 or +-15W? ( i am thinking because of Motor Lamp On" is not flashing). Booting time is taking about 20 minutes till it shows different error

Just to be clear, the robot boots up to where the network status (NS) LED on the panel board is green but the teach pendant display still says "Teach pendant communications lost". Is that correct?

Does this mean the teach pendant now shows other errors on the display after 20 minutes? If so, what are those errors? -

Just to be clear, the robot boots up to where the network status (NS) LED on the panel board is green but the teach pendant display still says "Teach pendant communications lost". Is that correct?- Not really. In the beginning it says "Teach pendant communications lost", do not open "welcome ABB" screen, all the LED on panel board is green.

the same boot - In the beginning it says "Teach pendant communications lost", do not open "welcome ABB" screen, all the LED on panel board is green. Booting takes about 20 min, then the errors. Teach pendant do not react at all when i push any button. Even do not move "the cursor" to see the next error. only beeps. Motor ON lamp does not flash.
-
The 'Welcome ABB' only comes up when the controller boots up without errors. The S4C & S4C+ take a very long time to boot when there are system errors.
Are there any other errors that happen before the Internal errors?
Focusing on why the teach pendant does not respond to key presses:
Could be the teach pendant is receiving but transmitting - try another teach pendant.
Could be an issue with the Panel Unit - try another.
Unplug the backplane X10 & X16 CAN bus connections and try again. Perhaps something is loading the CAN bus after a while.
Could be a fatal error in the system that requires a software reload. The errors are on the screen are not encouraging. I hope you have a recent backup and software just in case.
You could monitor the output of the serial port on the front of the Main Computer board. Search the ABB & ABB manuals board for "PC as service tool" for more info. -
problem is solved by reinstalling the system, everything is working. Thanks for your replies and support.

I also facing the same problem and maybe it can help to solve it:
1. Change with other teach pendant
2. Checking if CPU ABB functions or not
3. Check flash disk in CPU, although LED green light appear but it maybe one of cause why lost communication
