Hello, I have aquestion about small resistor in KCP mainboard. What will actually change his replacement from VKCP to KCP?

E2 is a safety input on VKRC, so likely this will affect how the pendant is recognized and integrated into safety with CI3 board. Try and see..

I am resoldered resistor(vw to standard) but still can't turn on the drivers in automatic mode(I made a connection between aut ext and aut inside of kcp)

teach pendant cable and wiring inside KRC amy need to change too. did you try comparing schematics of standard KRC and VKRC?

Tomek, did you take the lock with the key before bridging? KCP does not like double modes.

Actually, I do not have good diagrams to compare :icon_confused: I have normal KRC cabinet and problematic(for me) VKCP. If we could develop a solution for VKCP to KCP conversion. This could help many users

I made the connection as in the attachment(photo from forum, I don't have my own) without scratching Aut Ext path

aut and ext . As far as I remember, the triggering of the mode followed a common pinu.

So this connection will be fine, but not enough to work. I compared the schematics (X19 connector) from VKR_C2_ed05 and KR_C2_ed05 (both from KUKA website), don't see any differences(unless I'm wrong...)

Hey, i checked my setup on normal KCP, and VKRC cabinet with normal KCP. Both works ok(T1/T2/aut/aut external). Unfortunately I can't look inside of standard KCP(safety stickers)in search of differences.
if someone could take a picture of the interior of the standard KCP?

    Hi Tomek,

Any luck with the VKCP tunning? I just got a V version and I need the auto mode.

I installed a KSS software on it without problems, now is just the console thing, that I need Auto not External.

    Thanks!

Just want to let you know that I had a similar problem which I solved by moving two resistors in the KCP2. It is a KCP2 with a mode switch with 4 positions (T1, T2, EXT and AUT).

I had the same issue, that switching drives on in EXT and AUT did not work.

    Thread

KRC2: KCP2: T1 and T2 work fine, but no Drives ON in AUT and EXT. Robot/Cabine works fine with other KCP.

    Dear all,

I have got a working VKRC2 cabinet (MP9) with KSS 5.6.12 and a working KCP2. It works fine in all modes: T1, T2, AUT and EXT.

When I switch the KCP I can still work in T1 and T2, but cannot switch on the drives in AUT and EXT.

Wiring of X9, X10, X11 and X12 on CI Board is fine. It has E2 keyswitch for which I added two jumpers.

I can track down the different behaviour to the KCP2.

The KCP2 in question is labeled (on the outside): "KCP2 00-107-264".

    The board inside says "KCP2.0-CPU-REV005"…

What do you mean by that? Post pictures etc of your mod so others can replicate it.

    Dear panic mode,

I linked to my thread and I posted pictures from "before" and "after".

This is how it works for me:

The 0-Ohm resistors configure the ESC chips.
