Inform II External Output Postion

    I am new to robot programming but not to CNC machines,


    With the Inform II language used by the NX100 controller, Am I able to program a request for a external servo to move to a certain position? If not how would I go about moving a external servo to a position I want to define and have the program be able to play back that command.


    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello, ok i will try to explain this but i'm sure there are more experienced members on here who can do a better job at it than i can...
    Yes you can but you will need an additional program on the side who is working with your robot, a program that controls the external automatics, servo axes etc...
    Then you can use the inform commands to move your external axes.
    I am working with a few assembly lines that run like that, there's 1 robot and various external servos who are working together like that.
