Control of External Servo with NX100

    I have read on this forum that it is possible to control a external servo using the I/O communication from the NX100 controller,


    How do I go about doing that? I understand I wont be able to use it as a external axis, I just need the servo to index the robot to a working position and hold it there.

  • Most motor drives come with a control box. You program this box the direction of the motor, the speed, the acceleration... Some can be programmed to move a set amount (like in an elevator or in your case a turn table). With these control boxes you tell them when to start, stop and what direction to run. You connect these points to the I/O of the robot.
