Hello
we have got KUKA LBR iiwa KRC4 robot just unpacked. I have very little info on starting it up. I want some answers on How to connect the controller to PC. When I am trying to install the apps from Sunrise workbench it shows this message 'Please note that some stations are not available at the moment. Please check the IP addresses marked in red.'
Can you please

I want some answers on How to connect the controller to PC.
you need to use Ethernet cable between your PC and KLI port (connector marked "X66"). also you need to assign suitable IP address to your PC. Default address of KLI port is 172.31.1.147, subnet mask 255.255.0.0.
For example you could use 172.31.1.100, subnet mask 255.255.0.0

If you do not know how to use the SunriseWorkbench, try to read the manual.
The manual provides the basic information how to install and setup a project, which is way better than we can discribe it here.
Acutally the SWB is eclipse Kepler, afaik, and the programming language is Java 1.6. I hope you are familiar with an object oriented programming language, if not it will not be easy to learn LBR iiwa programming own you own, IMHO.
To get an first impression which how to programm the LBR iiwa, look at the an example application and read the manual, which gives you even further information than example application. The other possibilty is to go to KUKA College and learn all you need within 2 weeks (including a brief java learning course). This course guides you, well structered, through all topics of the possible programming of the LBR iiwa. You will do an example applications for each topic and you can take those home to have a sample how to programm all these special features. IMHO this is the easies and most effective way to learn it and will increase your 'project' improvements by at least a month.

Thank you for the reply.
I have read the manual and already installed Workbench and Workvisual. But i dont know how to configure netwrok to connect to the KUKA controller. I am confused on where to change the IP address and all.
Thanks. -
Do you know how to set a network and how to configure it in Windows?
Are you using a DHCP?!The easiest way to set up a first installation is to connect your laptop/PC directly to the SunriseController. How to adapt the network preferences is described in chapter 10.2.
There is also written the default IP address of the controller, which should be the same as display on the HMI (Station -> Information -> [there is something like] "IP Address").
If this differs take a look at chapter 10.5.1, especially at the picture 10-3.I hope that this will help you.
