Hello everybody,
I hope my topic fits in here. Generally speaking for a calculation of the safety distance for a laser scanner you need to know all the reaction times and the stopping time of the robot. If the Robot runs on a linear axis you also need to know the stopping time of this external axis. Are there any guidelines or a norms/rules about how to measure or calculate it? I know that manufacturer have to attach some information about the stopping time and overtravel according to EN ISO 10218-1. The stopping time of robots differs caused of different load masses and arm extension. The linear axis has a lot more variables to consider. Can someone help me?
