I am trying to implement a security functionality inside the jobs of a welding robotic arm (MA2010) with the DX200 controller.
My goal is to have the robot programmer set the tool (welding torch) number used to create that program in a variable at the beginning of said program.
Then I want to compare that tool number with the currently mounted tool number and if both numbers are not the same then the program should not run. (This will happen if the operator tries to run the program with a different welding torch mounted).
My problem is that I don't know where to get the currently mounted tool number from (external output? parameters? system variables?).
Can you help me?
