I went through a lot of reading for connecting the X12 ( my configuration is IOB 16-16B) similar to the discussion at

Now, I am still unclear about the X12. In the manual it says " The power can be supplied either directly from an external source to contacts
3/4 and/or 5/6, or by jumpering the internal voltage (contacts 7/8) on X55". Which means I can't power pins 1 & 2 internally ( That means external power supply). How do I power the PCI. Is it done through pins 1 & 2? I must power it up externally?
I have a KRC4 compact that controls a KR3.
