    Hello;

You can use KRC4Api for .Net applications.
This API support read variable, write variable and Archive Function from real robot with user program. This is first release and I think about to improve and I will release extended version next time.

API work only on real robot or Officelite.

Please note: If you want to use archive function you must be copy API to "C:\KRC\Services\WorkVisualHost" directory.

If you have any question do not hesitate contact to me or write this topic.

    Hi,

Just to clarify, to have an access to the robot's variable through this app, all I have to do is to set the IP on the PC and Robot from the same range, connect it by RJ45 cable and that's it? Does it require any additional packages on the robot?

    Hello mati2007;

This API only work in robot pc. There is no remote connection supported. If you want to use with remote pc you can review below link:

    Hi Floki,

I've tried your api and it works great for reading variables (except that there are vb messageboxes in your exception handlers! :motz:)
But if I try to write variables I always get COM exceptions.

Is there anything I missed out? Thanks

    Hi Fluke,

did you already improved the API with more funktions eg. select, deselect, delete or add new files to the KRC?
I am interested in your API.

Hello you can use V2 API attached. This API using legacy interface but I will release V3 with more function support with new interface. (I planning in March)

with V2 you can use basic function e.g. copy, delete, select etc. You must be use KRC Path name for copy and delete function

    Example:

    KRC4Api.CopyModule(Source As String,Destination As String,ForceSelect As Boolean)
    KRC4Api.CopyModule("D:\Test.src","KRC:\R1\Program\test.src",True)
    KRC4Api.DeleteModule("KRC:\R1\Program\test.src")

    V3 will implement these functions:

    - Variable Read (Event Based and Syncronized)
    - Variable Write (Event Based and Syncronized)
    - Select Module
    - Select Submit Interpreter
    - Cancel Module
    - Cancel Submit Interpreter
    - Delete Module from KRC memory
    - Copy Module from external path to KRC memory
    - Start Program
    - Stop Program
    - Add message to Message View
    - Remove Message to message view (Acknowledge)
    - Get Program State (Selected, Active, Not Selected)
    - Make Archive and Project Backup to specific path
    - Major change will be Remote Support (You can use external PC for connect to robot with API)

    Files

    Krc4Api_V2.rar 74.63 kB – 123 Downloads
