    Hello everyone, I wrote a configuration parameter file, independent. When backups are not backed up, how can you backup your own independent parameters?

    Depending on your system (this is from an S4C controller)...
    Under Misc>System Parameters the File pulldown should offer options:

    Code
    1. Load Saved PArameters...
2. Add New Parameters...
3. Add or Replace Parameters...
--------------
4. Save All as...
5. Save as...
6. Check Parameters 


Restart


    We had some old S4's that did not backup system parameters - these files had to be saved separately.

    I don't remember what reference I found this in, but you can try it. It didn't work for me but I think it is because it was a directory with a lot of files. Maybe it will work for you. Make a usersys.cfg file and put this in it:


    SYS:CFG_1.0:6:0::
    #
    BACKUP_RESTORE


    -IncludeDirAtBackup "name of directory which has your custom parameters"


    Then "ADD" this file, not delete or replace.
