I have a cell with the robots mounted on a 45 degree angle. Can I simple change the variable Param_group.$mount_angle. to 45 and be done? Or is setting it through a "controlled start>maintenance" absolutely necessary for it to work properly?

It is the same, but If you change it from the Variable screen, you need to perform a Cold Start.

Thank you in advance.

In the Controlled Start mode you can adjust the mounting angle under MENU > MAINTENANCE. The procedure on how to do this as well as additional information about the mounting position is described in the manual of your mechanical unit.

is it only one change(Mounting Angle) that we have to do with Robot?
if i put by robot on wall (wall is vertical so robot will stay 90 Degree), then what is the transportation postion of the Robot?

Yes, this is the only thing you have to change when the robot is not mounted on the floor.

We normally always use the default transport position (or a position near to it if not reachable) for all mounting angles. Never had problems with that.

DS186 thank you for your reply.
can we set mounting agle at (-90) for wall mounting ? -

Yes you can. You can check the possible mounting angle under MENU > MAINTENANCE. For the LR Mate it is -180 to +180 deg.

Thank you for your respons.
okay super i even check in ROBOGUIDE. what will be the effect if dont chang mounting angle ? -
Setting up the correct mounting angle is for example important for gravity compensation. If you mount the robot on e.g. the wall and let the mounting angle at 0 deg (floor mounted) you may run into collision errors. There are probably many more things which can occur or have an negative impact when using the wrong mounting angle.

Thank you once again. is there any material(or more description) which i can follow for mounting angle?. i saw the manual but there is no much description rather then how to set mounting angle.
-
I am not aware of any other document than the manual for the mechanical unit. But the given information from the manual is sufficient.

Hi everyone
Can you please tell me what is transport position if robot mounted on wall (90°) ?
-
I would use the default position with just J1 rotated to + or -90 deg (if possible in your application).

Thank you so much fot your reply.
i did the simulation in Roboguide with DCS parameter and all other things like registrie, All signal configeration, and many programm (PNS1-10). now i would like to load this data in physical robot.
i know how to load this back up in physical robot. but i want to know should i load AOA backup which i took from Roboguide ? (Note: in roboguide all master data value is 0)

Please check this thread for different suggestions on how to do it.

DS186 Thank you so much. This thread is much more helpful.

Do you have the manual for your mechanical unit? There is a picture which describes the direction of rotation.
