What is this machine's history? Did T1 work properly at some point in the past? Has anyone been modifying the wiring? Where is the mode select switch located -- on the KCP, or on the bulkhead of the cabinet?
-
hello, sorry i just noticed ur msg, the machine is not functioning right now, as it has the error of Drives contactor Off, there is some intermittent problem, the contactor gets on some times & again it gets off, i don't understand what to do, each & every connection i checked, CC1, Mode selector switch wiring, etc. The mode switch is on the cabinet & not on the KCP. Inspite of Switch position in T1 mode, on KCP it shows T2 Mode. When it is changed to auto or T2 mode there are indication, but the after that the system gets hang. Cannot do anything.
If u can help me out to get this machine work.
regards -
"Drives Contactor Off" is a status, not a message.
If the KCP shows T2 when the key switch is set to T1, you have a wiring issue.
What does the KCP dispay for T2, AUT, and EXT?
What other messages are active on the KCP? -
hello, thanks for ur support. The Mode selector switch is on control cabinet. the wiring is also as before not changed, AS when before starting the system, if the Mode switch is selected to T2 mode, after software loadin, at that time the KCP shows T1 mode on display, as it is changed to T1 mode, the KCP shows T2 mode & then the T2 mode remains even if changed to T1 or T2 mode. Auto mode is activated. Drives are ready, when jogging the msg shown is Dynamic Braking active, also Gear torque exceeded for axes 6. Drive contactor off. Motor Brake is released for a moment.
This machine is new to me, using 1st time.
Hope will get through with your guidence.

Hi,
Also, I have exactly same problem with the robot (KUKA KRC1). It worked well for a while, but now when I change the mode to T1 or T2 nothing appears on KCP.Also, when I turn on the device, this messages appear: 'Error configuration I/O driver DNDRV'
and 'Controller booted'
I would be grateful if you can help me with that.

What do you mean, "nothing appears on KCP"?

"Controller Booted" is just a status message. The DNDRV error means that your DeviceNet bus is failing to start for some reason.

Thanks for the response.
Could you help me how I can solve the error?
I didn't change anything in the wires, or in the main codes of the system.

There are much more messages, you can scroll down the message window for displaying them.
-
among them are messages telling that your robot needs mastering. possibly because batteries are dead or because RDC is bad (worn out memory, cannot store data any more).
fixing DeviceNet is covered in depth numerous times. if you are not using it, just comment it out in IOSYS.INI.

Hi,
Thanks for your responses.
The batteries are dead, and I always did the mastering after turning on the system.
Also, I commented the DeviceNet in IOSYS.INI, but it doesn't work yet (I need to to do the mastering in T2 mode but robot doesn't work in this mode while it works in AUT mode).
I attached other messages here, and would be grateful if you could help me with that.

Using Kuka bots with dead batteries is a good way to destroy the operating system.
Things I would do, in this order:
- replace batteries
- make an image of the hdd
- make an archive of actual state
- restore an archive from working state (if available) if this doesn't work :
- restore a hdd image from workings state (if available) if this doesn't work:
- install everything (windows and kss) from scratch.
