Which standard? Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, VW, BMW, Audi, et al all have their own standards (and usually different standards for different departments inside the same company). I've worked in most of them over the past 30 years, and even had a hand in writing a few of them.
So it would help us to help you if you stated which standard you are working under.
It is impossible to use something that is not in that standard like spline blocks and stop conds.
Generally untrue. VW did the most technological handcuffing, in my experience, but there were still ways around their ridiculous standard. For most of the others, the standard was enforced by inspection, not by prohibitions in the robot OS.
