Nothing wrong with just copying programs in... Just do it from HMI and they will be compiled.
I don't know about your cad software but if it does not make main program automatically, u would generate it in excel rather than typing seventy lines.

Yes, PowerMill makes main program where all subfolders are referenced.
It's no different from Windows. Using the KUKA File Navigator, select the modules you want to copy (from a USB drive, network drive, whatever), select Copy, then navigate to the destination folder under /R1/Programs and select Paste.
Doing too many of these at once can sometimes give the compiler fits, so if you get lots of errors, try selecting a few at a time. Also, it helps if you copy across your "main" program by itself, after copying over all the modules it makes calls to. That makes it easier on the linking system.
You'll need to play around with your RAM settings and with amount of RAM you actually have installed based upon motherboard capacity. Takes some time, but I'm able to run programs of around 300,000 lines on a krc2 win95 kss4.1.6.
Make images of your harddrive before you mess around though. Nothing like ending up with a dead robot.
I've tried to copy files directly in KRC module. I tried to copy and to cut fom one folder to another and it doesn't help. The label shortcut looks like notepad label. Only reboot helps.

no.... when icons look like notepad labels, program modules are not compiled. the only time modules are compiled is:
1. reboot
2. login as Expert, use HMI to navigate to external drive, select and copy modules, navigate back to KRC:\R1\Programs and paste.
3. you edit file that is already in KRC:\R1\.... and choose to save it

Till this time I use to do like you wrote. But if I have 70-ty file, it's unconvinient a little to edit all

And what is "KOP"? Internet search doesn't give any records.
To buy smt is also question of price because as I said rebootting helps to recompile the program.
You don't have to edit 70 files.
panic mode only told you the mistake you made.
Just follow point 2 from panic modes post.
It is only necessary to copy the files from an external drive (may also be Drive D:) to KRC/R1. Don't copy it to c:\krc\....
KOP = Kuka Option Package
Kuka.CNC is very nice but pricey
Kuka.CamRob is popular product for those that use large files and it costs less than CNC
btw, 2000 lines is ridiculously low limit. talk to Kuka

KRL programs generated by CAD to Path software tend to be very large (tens of MB). in order to meet KSS file size limitations, such programs are broken into series of smaller files. of course they would be linked so in terms of execution, it would still run as one program.
btw. it would be nice from KUKA to state what the limits really are. this should be part of user documentation.
as far as i understand each line can have max 2k characters and each file can have up to 32k lines. this means one SRC file can be up to some 6.5Mb but that is only theoretical limit. in practice anything over 200k or so is rather large.
there are other limits too.
i recall that XEdit was one of the bottlenecks. That is the program editor used by KSS. I remember that in case of KSS8.3, XEdit would not work for files that have more than 9500 lines. That is less than one third of 32k mentioned above. in other words if program is correct it will happily run but one cannot make changes through HMI. But if there is an error, you cannot fix it without using external editor. Then the program would still need to be recompiled, either by rebooting or by re-importing file to KRC:\
This limit can be changed by editing registry.
