dcs safe i/o setup

I have a r30i b controller that I am setting up DCS zone and I want to use safe I/o connect and use my AB 1768 L45S plc to control the inputs I need to enable my zone when the access is open. There is not a lot out there on set up of generic Ethernet/IP safety module or the set up for the second port on the robot and how that communicates. I set the same zones up on a r30ia but used a safety relay I would like to get away from that if I can. I do have the safe connect software and the DCS software loaded on the robot any help will be helpful
