I modified it a little bit because it would not show the "0" when the code starts with "0". now it does. it has also the .kl file

Well, JT hasn't logged in in 2 years, so I have my doubts that he will see your request.
However, even without the source code, you can hex edit the karel file to make it work on v9 controllers.
This is what I did, and I tested it with v9.30 Handlingtool, and it works.
Modified .pc file is attached.
Im wondering what part of the pc file you modified to update the version? I opened the HEX file with ultraedit however I coulnd´t find any part related to the robot software version

I modified the byte at position 0A from 27 hex to 29 hex, and that made it work.
Figured out what position to modify by compiling a blank program on v8 and the same on v9 and comparing them. Comparison tool was ultracompare.

not sure if you were also asking about the user/pass portion of the original PC, but it can be recreated utilizing $password.$num_users and $passname.$name/$password

hi, would you guys be willing to reiterate a bit here on password removal? I purchased a used fanuc M16i robot RJ3iC controller and cannot seem to master, change variables, load files or anything other than jog due to the password set for installer. Thanks
