Ladder Software

You can use notepad. Just really watch syntax. Make sure to backup CMOS.bin prior.

You can use NOTEPAD,but it will be in structured text format. If you want to edit in Ladder format you must have Ladder editor,this software you have to buy from YASKAWA. it comes with a hardware key. This software doesn't cost you much.but,it will be useful if you really want to edit ladder logics.

Search the forum for MLADDER. It's a free utility for viewing Motoman robot ladder. Works well, only gotcha I've found is that it doesn't know the BMOV instruction that was added in DX200, so will bomb out there and not display any ladder after encountering that instruction.
