Hello!
I made a post before about a problem using CREAD command (for RS232 communication) ! I succeeded ! But I was working with a KR210 (KRC2)... and now I have to connect my PC with a KR6.
I made the same configurations:
KUKA:
IN: HW_INF.INI:
COM3=ENABLE ;[ENABLE, DISABLE, CONSOLE]
IN: SERIAL.INI:
[COM3]
BAUD=9600
CHAR_LEN=8 ; 7,8
STOP_BIT=1 ; 1,2 at time not changeable
PARITY=0 ; EVEN=2, ODD=1, NONE=0
PROC=4 ; 3964R=1, SRVT=2, WTC=3, XONXOFF=4 --> protocol supported by my PC
(also tried changing rx_value and tx_value to 0)
I make the cold boot and I connect de RS232 in the correct port. However in the side of the KUKA I don't receive any data and my PC don't receive nothing neither. The .src document doesn't go to the HALT command so I suppose its working good, but is always waiting to data_ser3 to change . Also I tested the serial communication program of my pc (a VI in LabVIEW) before (with another PC with LINUX) and also worked good, also with the same configurations.
When I try to make an echo from my pc to the COM port it doesn't reach the destination cause I don't see anything in telnet ( telnet 192.0.1.1), also telnet doesn't show me the writing data . I'm not sure if this is a problem but when I plug in the RS232, I don't see the dispositive connected in the COM3 (only com1 and com2 are active).
The controller has two male connectors and I tried connecting the female in both with no success
I hope someone will light me with something I forgot =(
THANKS!
