multiple comments

  • Hello everyone!

    Is it possible to comment several lines standing one-by-one in another simple way instead of adding semicolon to each line?

    like in java:
    /*
    text
    text
    */

  • while one cannot comment out block of code, workaround may be to simply skip block of code.

    example 1:

    Code
    IF FALSE THEN
      ; something to be skipped
    ENDIF

    example 2:

    Code
    GOTO SKIP_POS
      ; something to be skipped
    SKIP_POS:

    note, while this can help while troubleshooting, it is not a perfect replacement for commenting something out. for example code that is skipped must use valid syntax (real comment would ignore it completely even if syntax is wrong).

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

    navigate to line you want commented out and place semicolon in front of it.

    close program and save changes.
