I believe one difference between handling and paint is PaintTool requires an RSR (Job) cycle start method. I'm not 100% sure this is correct; others more familiar with paint should be able to offer more insight....
Make an attachment for the Spray Gun that shows you where your fan pattern is. We use zipties and a laser pointer in a 3d printed module.
Works great for visualizing angles and areas that might mask off the spray.
Agree with JJESSUP, add something to clearly identify the fan point and define the TCP at fan point, not gun tip.
If you have PaintPro software, you can do quit a bit of programming offline using the CAD to path functionality. This will get your spray patterns pretty close, but would need to be touched up in the real world. You'd also have to verify that PaintPro covers your controller software version before you get started.

Do you have a photo that you can share of your attachment, I've tried the zip ties but directly on the spray gun ring.
