Fanuc paint tool

  • Hi guys I usually work with material handlers and Welding robots. I have a job working with a paint robot rj3ib controller p200e robot running paint tool 6.4. I was wondering if any of you had any quick tips for someone that's new to the painting application. I need to program it to paint 10 different profiles or parts. Line tracking is already set up does anyone have any good reference material or links or tips that would be helpful?
    Thank you

  • Make an attachment for the Spray Gun that shows you where your fan pattern is. We use zipties and a laser pointer in a 3d printed module.

Works great for visualizing angles and areas that might mask off the spray.

  • If you have PaintPro software, you can do quit a bit of programming offline using the CAD to path functionality. This will get your spray patterns pretty close, but would need to be touched up in the real world. You'd also have to verify that PaintPro covers your controller software version before you get started.

Do you have a photo that you can share of your attachment, I've tried the zip ties but directly on the spray gun ring.
