We have connected the fence to our R30i B, when we activate the fence we see that the stop is a power off stop and not a controlled stop (we see activating the Estop has the same effect as activating the fences).
Is there a system parameter to activate the controlled stop for the fences?
Is the time for the controlled stop parametrisable by a system parameter?
R30 iB : fence open -> not controlled stop

Did you wire directly to the Panel board? If so make sure youre tied in the the EGS and not the EES. Theres probably system variable but Im not familiar with it if there is.Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

The fence is connected to the EAS inputs.

Thats correct. Do mean the power is actually shutting off to the robot controller or that the brakes are coming on?Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

The power to the robot controller stays on. When the fence is opened, the brakes of the motors close immediately like for an emergency stop.
There seems no controlled braking of the motors. -
I am not sure if this thread is still being monitored, but I am building a fence currently for our m20ia (with r30ib plus controller). I would like to know, Plc_User and BigFrank612, how you wired your sensors to the e stop board.
Could you please let me know how you wired your fence sensor to the board? did you need to use a safety relay or safety controller?
Thanks!
