i made a minimal porting in VAL3 (the proprietary language of the Staubli Robotics Controller) of the Snap7 library (http://snap7.sourceforge.net/)
S2S is an acronym for "Staubli to Siemens" (or "Siemens to Staubli" if you prefer!).
This library allow to set up a communication between a Staubli robot and a Siemens plc (S7 300/400/1200/1500) without the needs to use a fieldbus or external devices but just using a standard TCP/IP connection.
In few words you'll be able to read/write db's just using a simple ethernet cable!
It's an open source project (lgpl v3) so you can download it for free from this repo: https://github.com/alejho/S2S
