Hi Guys,
i'm new here, but i could not find my answers so here we go.
first i'll introduce myself: My name is Lars Pluimers, i bought a used Fanuc S420I-IL Robot with RJ2 controller, i want to do some specific things with it, so there are a couple of questions
1. i want to read the Actual Cartesian positions out of the robot with a serial connection. is there an option for this? or do i need to program it in Karel?
2. in the manual i found that there is an option to select for the serial port, (Menu - Setup - F1[TYPE] - Port init - Device it says 5.Current position. but if i enable this, and hook the serial port to a terminal program, there is no data coming out of the port. (if i do a print, then it works)
3. I've read something about Karel, how can i check if my robot supports Karel programming? i made a backup with KFloppy, in some programs a call is made to a program that is no TP progam (at leas it was not in te controller anymore) so i think Karel is enabled.
4. i found the MakeTP exe files on the internet but it seems corrupted, does anyone still have these files and is willing to share them?
5. is there an option to program the robot offline? (i know that the robot has no network connection, but if i can load the programs using KFloppy then i'm OK.)
