Workvisual Find cotroller

Hello,
I just wondering how to load a project from a controller(KRC4). When I start new project in the Browse tab there is no active controllers(I have connected my laptop with KRC 4 KLI). I have tried to search via the IP but still no luck. I am completely new with workvisual so it migh be something simple I am missing.

KSS 8.2.25
Workvisual 4.0

First thing to check is your network. Can you ping the controller from the laptop? If yes, then try temporarily shutting off the firewall on your laptop. If that works, then your issue is the firewall, and you'll need to add permissions to it to allow WorkVisual to pass through.

On kss 8.2 you must connect to KLI port. Check KLI address and make sure your laptop is in same subnet. Ping KLI from your laptop. If you get reply everything is fine - wov probably scanned wrong subnet. Just use Browse and when it fails to find robot, click on magnifier and enter KLI address manually. That is it...

Hello,

I've tried to ping the controller from the laptop through the different networks (And I miss typed my KSS it is KSS8.3).

First time I have connected my laptop directly to the KR C4 (from my laptop ethernet port to KLI).
Got 3 messages "Destination host unreachable" and one "Request timed out".

Second time I plugged the controller to our work network and plugged my laptop to it and got all messages "Request timed out".

So as you told it's network fault. Do you have any suggestions how this can be fixed? Maybe something turned on or configured in the controller?

whats the IP of your laptop? and the IP of the controller?

I have attached them. Tried with both KR C4 IP's.
1.2 was the default one(Whe we got robot, it was used for exibitions).

Both IP's must be on the same range, for example 192.168.1.XX, try changing these adresses!

Of course, the XX value cann't be the same!!
