    Hi Guys,

We've been having problem with the RDC of our 3-axes positioner once every 2 or 3 days, which result to always master the 3 axes. Before, the RDC error occur every morning we turn on the controller, we then tried to borrow the batteries from other controller, then the error didn't show up for 3 consecutive days we just restart the controller with reload files to solve the issue then just master the axes by dial. We suspect that the battery is not charging overnight or is it the RDC of the positioner that is having problem?
Attached is the picture of the said error and the Controller version

    Thank you so much....

Batteries are only needed in case of emergency (power loss during run)
If you stop the robot before shutdown you are OK.

    Things to check:

Make sure controller AND robot are grounded.
RDC cables should not be running together(close/touching) with high power/ high frequency cables.
Check cable and both ends for any loose pins , cuts, bends, etc...

also make sure that resolver cables are correctly terminated at the RDC box. all four shields of each resolver cable must be tied to GND.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

if the batteries are low the system will tell you.

So this happens when you switch off the controller or does it just happen ?

your other system is ok ?

is it the same version KSS i just have a niggle in my head about that version you have 8.2.21 mmmm maybe wrong ...

What are the Ext axis on as you are getting positional errors ?
