Hello.
We need to add a new position for robot. Then it runs to the position, we get the message: "Stop by violated monitoring range no.2" and "Monitoring range no.2 exceeded".
I tried to change the workspace 2, but it don't looks like it makes any difference. I have also tried to use "OFF" mode. No difference.
There are also monitoring ranges in configdat, but the axis positions are not of the limits at that position.
What can the problem be?
Thanks in advice.
Monitoring range exceeded.

you are looking at the wrong thing... workspace and safety range are not the same.

Thanks for reply.
Do you know where I have to look? I could only find defined ranges in configdat.

Look up safety configuration. But be careful changing values inside safe features. You might violate safety regulations, when changing values in there and would have to get a new safety clearance from your respnsible safety guys.

Hello Fubini.
Thanks for advice, I understand about clearance difference and safety space changing. Value for A2 is limited to -120 degree and I need it to move the last 4 - 5 degrees. There is free space to software limit.
I'm trying following:
Program cancelled. Logged on as Safety maintains.
Go to the setup--> Safety operation
In editor find Certain axes, A2.
How can the value -120 degree be changed? Trying to click on it, but only black frame around value appears. Can’t highlight it. Or edit.V 5.5.16
Safe V2.1.6Thanks.

Are you in T1-Mode?

Hi,
I'm using a Kuka KR-60 robot with KRC2.
I have the same problem: I would like to change the monitoring range, as the robot was moved into a new space with more room.
When I log in as Service Maintenance and go to Setup->Service->Safe Operation->Configuration, I get dropdown menus to view the monitoring space Cartesian Range parameters, but I cannot change them. I could just switch "stop at boundaries" to "false" but I'd rather just update them and keep them on. The only option I have is "Import" but I'm not sure how to use that.
Could someone explain?

Are you logged in with sufficient user rights? In KRC 4 you would have to be at least "safety maintenance technician". It has been a Long time since I last had to do with this stuff in a KRC 2, so I am not sure if the user groups are the same. But for certain group "User" is not sufficient.

I f you don't need to use the robot in Safe Mode you can disable monitoring parameters in Setup->Service->Safe Operation->Configuration, choosing false
Depends of your robot application.
