RSI question

    Is there a system variable or similar that I can query in SPS to determine if RSI is active? I looked in the RSI manual but didn't see anything of the sort.

    Or if not, any create ideas how to determine that. Possibly I can set and output in the RSI object which is dedicated for this, and query in the SPS. The reason is I have logic in the SPS I want to suspend when RSI is running.

    Ohhh, that's a hard one. I ran into a similar problem, and never did find a 100% reliable method. There's $TECH.MODE (I think? Don't have my files handy), but I found it unreliable in situations involving interrupts.

    If you don't have to handle situations where Level-1 interrupts might have to be handled during your RSI, you might be able to simply get by with an Output object inside your RSI container, linked to a static Signal object, with the SPS programmed to branch around certain logic as long as that interrupt is active. You'll need to ensure that the Output shuts down when RSI_OFF occurs (not hard), and also cover situations where (for example) en E-Stop occurs during your RSI and you may (or may not) want the SPS to go back to normal logic until the E-Stop is cleared.
