    Positions or Position Registers?
Are the values changing, or is the robot drifting?

Is the robot properly bolted down? Had this happen to me on a couple of occasions.

Check out the Fanuc position converter I wrote here! Now open source!

Check out my example Fanuc Ethernet/IP Explicit Messaging program here!

really i am not expert on fanuc
for change the position, i run a point and when robot go to the target, i change the position in jog mode and then press shift+touchup
after test it is OK, after some days of work i check it manual but positions has been changes in Z and Y direction.
did anyone see this problem before ?

    best regards

What process are you working on ?
What type of job is this robot doing ?
What and when does your problem happen ?

Check the Position page and note the values for the XYZWPR. When the position changes, do these values change?
(You can also highlight the P[] value and check program position before/after to see if someone/something is changing the target value.)

    Hello,

You can send robot to its Zero position and check witness mark . Usually this happen when on of the robot servo/ gear box is wear out.

You can give us more info to think..

1> How old is the robot?
2> Did you get any maintenance work done on particular one?
3> What kind of work environment is in robot working on?-- Most importance temperature , wash environment

How much is the shift in positions ?

Other possible issues can be :

    Not properly grounded cables,
An encoder that is loose (had this myself, forgot to tighten the bolts after exchanging an encoder)

the year of made this robot is 2012
as i know, no maintenance operation happen on this robot. this robot's job is washing a metal piece with high pressure water (300 bar-65 degree)
the shift value is about 1 centimeter in z and y direction.

i checked the bolted, it is OK. i will check the positions value and create a calibration point to periodic check and get a result.

    thank's for your help.

Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I'm having the same type of issue where the robot will run fine for 3-4 hours and then all of the sudden my x and z positions are off by 6-8mm. I manually adjust the x and z and it will run fine for a couple of hours and then I have to change the positions back to the original settings. I check the zero marks and everything always lines up.
